For 50 years, mysteries have been floating through the ether. Whispers of faint memories of one of the era's most overlooked and forgotten bands. The Hazelnut Jam Band was a fiery, ferocious, and influential rock n' roll outfit from Detroit. And while their initial run was but a blip on the radar of many rock n' roll enthusiasts, their shadow loomed large: from the MC5 to the Grateful Dead to even the ever-bizarre Velvet Underground, the Hazelnut Jam band seemed to predate and outperform their contemporaries and acolytes.
Newly unearthed, never before heard, comes this two-song collection recorded in the Michigan era from when the band was at their peak. Fiery, unrestrained, and loud, the Hazelnut Jam Band's legacy is not to be ignored by true music buffs. This is a unique picture into the acid drenched, sex and booze fueled fervor of the Hazelnut Jam Band.
